One impurity targeted for clearance\nduring the purification process is residual DNA arising from host cells. The\nregulatory guidance for products produced in cell culture specifies that DNA\ncontent in the final product should be as low as possible, as determined by a\nhighly sensitive method. Measurement of Host Cell DNA (HCD) will require an\nassay validated to the ICH Guidelines for quantitative measurement. There are a\nnumber of methods which can be used to measure Host cell DNA.
